We welcome all children whose families desire a Risen Christ education. No child will be denied enrollment on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status or gender.
To insure that Risen Christ School is financially accessible to all, tuition is charged on a sliding scale based on family income. Please visit the Tuition/Finances section for more information.
Kindergarten and First Grade: To enter kindergarten, students must be five (5) years old by September 1 of the current school year. To enter first grade, students must be six (6) by September 1 of the current school year. Exceptions may be made by the administration based upon the results of appropriate testing and/or interviews.
Parents/guardians of kindergarten students must provide a copy of the child’s preschool screening report, updated immunization records and a copy of his/her birth certificate.
Transfer Students: Students transferring in to Risen Christ School are asked to complete an enrollment questionnaire and may be given a number of assessments to assist in making appropriate instructional placement decisions.
Wait Lists: Risen Christ School will accept students for enrollment at any grade level, based on the policies and guidelines set by the administration. Once a grade’s enrollment limit has been reached and a waiting list must be established, the following criteria are used to establish its priorities:
- Current students and/or siblings will have first priority
- All others* will advance on the waiting list according to the date of their application
* Dual language grade levels will have separate wait lists for native speakers of each language in order to help maintain the integrity of the model.
Registration for kindergarten opens in January each year. Registration for all other grade levels begins in February.
