Accreditation

Risen Christ is the only accredited nonpublic Dual Immersion elementary school in Minnesota.

Risen Christ Catholic School has been continuously accredited through the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) since the school’s inception in 1993. Every seven years, we engage in an intense process of self-study and strategic planning to maintain accreditation.

Work is currently underway to earn accreditation for another seven years. A team of MNSAA evaluators will visit in spring of 2024 to renew the school’s accreditation for 2024-2031.

What is accreditation?

  • Accreditation represents recognition of the quality of a school program to other educational institutions, prospective families, foundations, legislators, alumni and the general public.
  • Accreditation provides outside validation that a school has met certain basic standards, is actively seeking a quality education program and is committed to ongoing improvement.
  • Accreditation assures the public that the school program and organization will periodically undergo an intensive self-evaluation by the school community and a review by educators who are not affiliated with the school.
  • Accreditation makes a public statement that the school is committed to quality education, is willing to be measured against standards and engage in strategic improvement activities.
