Risen Christ kicked off Catholic Schools Week with five days full of fun and enriching activities. Plus, the students got to dress up in different outfits each day!
One day, students had the opportunity to wear clothes that represented their heritage. Another day was “Opposite Day,” when students dressed up like staff, and staff dressed up like students! It was a hoot.
On Friday, the National Children’s Theater visited Risen Christ to showcase its play, “The Land of Smiles.” Not only was it entertaining, the students were also taught the importance of good dental hygiene thanks to characters like Super Grin and Terri Tooth Fairy.
During Catholic Schools Week, students also participated in Dollar Wars, competing with their fellow classes to raise the most money. The school raised a total of $714.19 in donations for Every Meal! Way to go Risen Christ students.
Last but not least, we have to talk about our annual students vs. staff volleyball game! Surprisingly this year, the staff took home the win. But there was fun all around!
La escuela Risen Christ dio inicio a la Semana de las Escuelas Católicas con cinco días llenos de diversión y actividades enriquecedoras. ¡Además, los alumnos pudieron vestirse con atuendos diferentes cada día!
Un día, los alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de usar ropa que representara sus raíces culturales. Otro día fue el «Día de los Contrarios», en el que los alumnos se vistieron como el personal, ¡y el personal se vistió como los alumnos! Fue muy divertido.
El viernes, el Teatro Nacional Infantil visitó Risen Christ para presentar su obra de teatro, «La tierra de las sonrisas». No solo fue entretenida, sino que además los alumnos aprendieron la importancia de una buena higiene dental gracias a personajes como Super Grin y Terri, el Hada de los Dientes.
Durante la Semana de las Escuelas Católicas, los alumnos también participaron en « La Guerra del Dolar», compitiendo con sus compañeros de otras clases para recaudar la mayor cantidad de dinero. ¡La escuela recaudó un total de $714.19 en donaciones para Every Meal! ¡Bien hecho, estudiantes de Risen Christ!
