Our Neighborhoods

Risen Christ Catholic School is located in the heart of South Minneapolis (ZIP code 55407). As a bilingual, multicultural Catholic school of excellence, we partner with families to form students in mind, body, and spirit.

Serving Minneapolis Families

Risen Christ was formed in 1993 as the consolidation of five urban parish schools—Holy Name, Holy Rosary, Incarnation, St. Albert the Great and St. Stephen’s—to preserve and strengthen Catholic education for new generations of children in South Minneapolis.

Our school community includes families from several South Minneapolis neighborhoods, including Powderhorn, Bancroft, Central, Bryant, Corcoran, Longfellow, Whittier, Seward, and other surrounding areas.

Many of our families live close to school, allowing children to attend school alongside neighbors and friends. This local connection helps strengthen relationships among families and fosters a shared commitment to the school community.

Transportation for Local Families

Our location is an accessible and practical choice for families located in South Minneapolis. Many students walk to school, while others arrive by car or use school transportation, allowing families to choose what works best for their daily routine.

Busing is available upon request and follows transportation boundaries established by Minneapolis Public Schools. To learn more about eligibility or transportation options for your neighborhood, please contact our main office at (612) 822-5329.
